Call of Duty is supposed to no longer appear every year

On one, the fans of the Shooter Series Call of Duty have always been left for some time: every year a new game came on the market. This worked mainly because of the division of development on several studios (Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games). But Maybe the annual release rhythm will soon find an end .

This indicates at least a current report of the Magazine Bloomberg. It shows that in the recent past, there were allegedly more conversations in the leadership of the Publisher Activision Blizzard to increase the release period between the individual games of Call of Duty.

Especially due to the fact that Call of Duty Vanguard (now buy 66.99 €) was not the hoped for great success, some high animals at Activision Blizzard look probably as proof that the time is likely to have come for a corresponding change.

According to the report, inter alia, another release rhythm should be used to revive the community. In addition, it would have the advantage that the involved developer studios can no longer be under the enormous pressure of a fixed time frame. How realistic is this project?

It remains to be seen whether Activision Blizzard actually meets this decision.
